I’d like to kick off this weeks’ post with another poem from the very talented NSW artist & poet, Annette Kelsey:
Fleeting
gone
the stellar blue
of summer
calling me
to see
winter’s palette
with new eyes
this
early sunset
of purples, yellows
and greys
that fuse into
a pink
I cannot name
whispers
enjoy
this fleeting miracle
for
small joys
accompany
every day
Now it’s time for some…

Men, in the Calliope Mens’ Shed:
Me in the weld shop… ah, the smells, the burning rods, the hot metal, spot fires on my clothes, hair and skin:
An old photo taken inside the Bray Family Home in the 1970’s. That, my friends, underneath our epic door bell chimes, is a B&W TV set my father converted into a fish tank. People often commented on how clear the ‘screen’ was and how realistic the picture looked:
I didn’t buy it, but the name made me chuckle:
Spotted up at the library, isn’t it nice when families stop squabbling long enough to take a nice portrait?
Stolen from Substack
Mad Max will never be the same:

Hang on! That’s only four things! Nice try pal:
Well, it’s about time! Although, you may need to source some fairly hefty pain killers prior to the op. And band-aids. Lots of band-aids:
Now that I think about… Frank has a valid point here:
People! It’s not that hard. Now, repeat after me:
Hey, thanks for joining us, and keep an eye out for Sunday’s post.
