To The Valley!
Last weekend we packed our rhinestone suitcases and wandered up to Many Peaks in the Boyne Valley to perform our Dolly and Kenny tribute show as part of the Many Peaks Hotel 100 Year Celebration.
Lots of great memories, catching up with old mates and making new ones at the bar after the show.
Back to Bororen
Then on Sunday, we roared back home, threw all the gear into the loungeroom for ‘Future Greg and Doll’ to sort out, then back into the car and hoofed it to Bororen to catch Dean Perrett and Lindsay Waddington strut their stuff in the old community hall.
Eisteddfod
This week our young bloke stepped up, and onto, the stage at the Gladstone Entertainment Centre and performed in the local Eisteddfod (seriously, how’d you love to have to spell Welsh words each day?!) I’d dearly like to share some photos and video but they have ‘a policy’.
Still, we’re all very proud of him and he learned some valuable lessons and had fun!
Browned Off
As we racked up the k’s in the Qashqai (pronounced ‘Cash Cow’) we noted how dry and windy conditions were. You may have deduced from the aerial photo of the pub above that we haven’t been doing a lot of mowing lately round here.
Seriously, Rain? Where are you mate?!
A situation not lost on the regions’ firebugs, who kept volunteer firies busy all week.
Mt Morgan to the north required up to sixteen units to battle the blaze roaring around the town.
There were other casualties:
But, Agnes Water turned it on again this week:
So did Gladdy town:
Stolen from Substack

Spotted at the Shops
But didn’t buy them…
By me:
And, by Doll’s Dad (G’day Bill!):
Cheers All!
