‘I am Me’

It was just another morning at the Chateau de Greg ‘n Doll, I’d made a coffee and pottered outside to check the weather before the day kicked off.

My grandson, one of nature’s early risers, was already out the back, talking to himself, which is always a good sign…

“I am me!” he said, pointing with one hand to his chest.

“I. Am. Me!” he stated again and nodded to himself in agreement.

I looked around, there was nobody else there, just us and the dogs.

“What’s going on little mate?” I asked, ruffling his hair.

“I am me Grandad, I’m not anybody else, I am me,” he said earnestly.

My eyebrows lifted toward my hairline and stayed there.

“I am me,” he said once more, then ran off to play on the trampoline.

Doll wandered out with her coffee, “Watcha thinkin’?” she asked.

“Oh, how a three-year-old boy just summed up nearly 6000 years of philosophy with three words.”

Doll’s eyebrows lifted toward her hairline.

“Little mate just learned that ‘I am me’,” I explained, “He’s not anybody else, he’s himself.”

Her eyebrows remained stuck on the top floor.

“Clever kid,” she muttered.

“Yeah.”

Happy Snaps!

Halloween… I have mixed thoughts/emotions/opinions about this occasion:

Clowns to the left of me…
Trolley pushers to the right…
Here I am stuck in the middle of the road with them…
Teaching the grandies which houses to rob…

Before the rain:

After the rain!

Three little Kookas sitting on a pole

Halloween done… Xmas a-coming:

Stolen from Substack

May be an image of towel rack and text
Two sheets only!

Cheers,
